In this episode, we chat with Daniel Cruz Chan and talk about his new game The Legerdemain Betrayers, as well as his other game God-king.
Episode 61:Daniel Cruz Chan and The Legerdemain Betrayers
Mom's Basement Podcast is three adult RPG lovers talking about game design from one participant's mother's basement. The 'cast offers an irreverent, goofy and openly unprofessional style mixed with honest critique of small press and work-in-progress games.
Uploading pics here is a pain. It's supposed to rotated to it's side. Looks like a person screaming if you do that. Darn Blogspot |
So, Rudy and I have been trying to get the podcast restarted for awhile now. What we would really like to do is return to our old format of playtesting work-in-progress games and critiquing them on the podcast, followed by a bit of topical nonsense. We got a good pretty reception to this, both from designers and our handful of listeners.
Unfortunately, Mike has other business and hasn't been able to cast lately, and this doesn't seem to be likely to change in the near future. Our other on-again-off-again players either have equally erratic schedules or very little interest in trying out new indie games.
Taking all of this into consideration, we're considering shifting the podcast over to Skype (or Google+) and welcoming a long-distance podcaster. Is anyone interested?
You would have to be willing to take a few hours each week (or every other week) to playtest a game and then talk about it on podcast with us. You would also need a high tolerance for random bullshit. That's it. As our (three) listeners know, we don't set the bar very high.
